La Clef des Champs is a hidden gem, just off Grand Sablon. The food here is great, the service is attentive without being overbearing and the price was good. There aren't many tables, giving the restaurant a cosy atmosphere. I also loved the decor, which were paintings by, I'm guessing, the owner? Wonderful restaurant, I shall return when I am next in Brussels.

My boyfriend and i visited La Clef des Champs in Brussels on Saturday evening and had a fantastic evening! The service was second to none and the food was incredible. We spent almost 4 hours in the restaurant and didn't feel at all rushed - We were able to enjoy our meal and wine at our own pace. My boyfriend enjoyed a steak for his main and myself a lamb shank - both were cooked to perfection. We will be sure to recommend this restaurant to anyone that visits Brussels!!

Excellent as always; one of the best restaurants in Brussels and not bad value for money.

Booked La Clef des Champs after researching on TopTable for Feb 14th (Valentines) as was taking my girlfriend to Brussels for the weekend. My plan was to propose during the course of the meal!!!!
It's tucked down a pedestianised cobbled side street (not advisable if wearing high heels!).
Food was excellent, and couldn't fault the quality. Whilst I was a bit surprised at how much I was charged, I can't fault the place.....especially after some deliberation my girlffriend said "Yes"!!

We had a fantastic evening at La Clef des Champs. The food was excellent (I could cut the steak with a fork it was so tender) and the chocolate fondant just oozed with Belgium chocolate. The service was excellent and we were well looked after all evening!. We were the last to leave the restaurant as we enjoyed it so much. I look forward to a return visit next time we are in Brussels!

La Clef des Champs is a small restaurant that likes to allow you the table for the whole evening. The food is excellent, certainly worth the money and the owners treat you like family members. Highly recommended for a special meal in brussels.

I visited La Clef des Champs for dinner with 9 work colleagues. We had an excellent meal. We had a variety of dishes from the two menus and plats du jour. All were excellent quality. The service was friendly and efficient. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

La Clef des Champs is a pretty, welcoming little restaurant in the fashionable Sablon quarter of Brussels. We chose the "menu de ville" including wine. The food is good standard French, generous and well-flavoured. On a busy Saturday evening (when we saw many people turned away) the service was pretty slow but this was made up for by the staff keeping us supplied with wine and delicious little extras. Keep room for the desserts which are a highlight.

La Clef des Champs

toptable Dining Awards 2009 - Runner Up: Best International VenueLa Clef des Champs restaurant is one of Brussels’ favourites. Down a narrow street off the Place du Grand Sablon, in one of the city’s irresistibly charming districts, this intimate, romantic restaurant has a large terrace outside where, if weather permits, you can complete the illusion that you’re in the south of France. Run by the charming Bouillots, monsieur cooks and madame greets you at the door. This is authentic Lyonnais and Provencal cooking, changing seasonally. Try ravioli of crab in light curry sauce, cassoulette of ris de veau with port and mushroom jus, or enjoy a quite incredible cassoulet. The wine list includes some lesser-known labels that deserve discovery.
