A day trip to Brussels for business so tried out La Tortue de Sablon. Only had time for a main course but the Bouillebaise was spectacular. The restaurant had a really good feel to it.

La Tortue du Sablon is a lovely restaurant and I would highly recommend it to those visiting Brussels. It is fairly small and has an intimate ambiance, ideal for a romantic meal or for a night out with a small group of friends. If you like seafood the menu is fantastic. The staff were friendly and the service could not be faultered. My partner and I had a fantastic evening here on our first night in Brussels and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Would definitely recommend.

La Tortue du Sablon was great. We loved every minute of it. It was a welcome change from all the tourist restaurants we got in Brussels Central. Loved the food and the friendly service. Highly recommended.

Lovely restaurant with very fresh seafood. The service was very good and we felt very welcome and looked after. The recommended white wine was very nice. The food was lovely and the serving was very generous. It is away from the touristy part of town which was nice!

The decor might be construed as a little kitsch, certainly a bit dated, but the food, wine selection and service were all very good and more than made up for that. We chose from a good selection of fresh fish options, none of which disappointed. It is a bit pricey, but we thought reflective of the quality ingredients and choice of wine as much as anything, so would gladly recommend it if you like fresh fish and seafood dishes with big tasty flavours!
