Another successful booking with Top Table. L'Aromate is a lovely restaurant with great food and service. A definite for any one staying in Nice.

L'Amorate in Nice, France is a delightful restaurant with two "menu" options of E50 (2 ent, 1 main, 1 des) or E70 (4 ent, 1 main, 1 des - a big meal). The decor, ambience, service (waitress speaks enough English to explain the menu), food presentation and food itself was wonderful. There is a glass wall between the restaurant and kitchen too so if you wish to view the chefs at work, you can. Wine list is all French with 3 or 4 under E30 if trying to keep cost down. Highly recommended if in Nice!

We went to L'Aromate on a Saturday night and had a fantastic experience. There is only a set menu, so you don't really have a choice of what you eat, but everything was delicious. The dishes were complex, very tasty and incredibly well presented. Our waitress was very helpful in translating the menu and assisting with the wine list (which was rather short and on the expensive side).

L'Aromate was fantastic. The food was a masterpiece of cooking and presentation - the chef worked wonders with each course. The service was very friendly and the food was excellent value for money. Having eaten out in a lot of restaurants, especially recently, I can honestly say that this was the highlight - a gem of a place.

Not very busy on the night of our visit. The chef is very accomplished and the cuisine is excellent. However the chef''s enthusiasm borders on over-direction which is at odds with the ambition to provide good food in a relaxed atmosphere. Not all items are avasilable 'a-la-carte' and this is not helpful if the client wants small portions.

The service was friendly and Olivier was faultless as a host.
