Gilles Epie is the chef/owner/master of the trendy “Citrus Etoile”, not only does he know how to cook food, he takes it down to the molecular DNA and redefines it to bring out the most simple and delightful taste that it was meant to have. It is not only a gift, it has been divined. To eat his food, is to feel his passion in your soul and to describe what it does to you, is to tell you what it feels like to take LSD. All I can say is that you must go! And order the foie gras beignet.
My husband and i had dinner at Citrus Etoile, last week.
We had so agreat time. Beautiful location just 1 minute a way from the champs elysees avenue. the ambiance is jazzy.
About the food, really tasty light food. we begin with a champagne and passion cocktail, i love the saint John Dory fish, it was amazing. the degustation menu was a cooking adventure.
The service is so nice and they’ll help you a goodie bag.
we'll be comeback again.
Booked a table for two at Citrus Etoile on a Friday night, wanted to sample some Mitchelin star cuisine on the Champs Elysees. The 5 course €120.00 deal through Toptable was very good value, and I would recommend this, however when we arrived the venue was not aware of this set menu, and it took about 20mins going back and fourth to arrange it, the food and wine was exceptional, stand out dishes were the John Dory and Pigeon, nice room, but lacking a bit of atmosphere for a Friday night in Pari
Myself and my wife went to Citrus Etoile the night before Valentines.
We were greeted warmly by immaculate and knowledgeable staff and the menu was mouth watering.
We both settled for the same meal of Frois Grois Tempura followed by Roasted Duck. The Frois Grois was excellent quality but I felt I was slightly let down by the batter which was too heavy and a little stodgy.
The Duck was to die for, expertly cooked, sweet and tender and packed with flavour. Very Pricey but a worthwhile experience.
The food was wonderful and the service fantastic. It's just a real shame that the restaurant was so quiet on a Friday night. Maybe a sign of the time as the fast food chains round the corner were doing a roaring trade.
