I Golosi restaurant, wine bar and boutique in Paris’ Richelier-Drouot quarter is celebrated for its superb Italian wine list – the best in Paris – more than 500 bottles. But it is quality that truly matters, and here I Golosi shines. The dining room is decorated in design-conscious Italian, specifically Venetian with wood floors, smart seating, bright splashes of pink and funky lights with extremely thoughtful sound-reducing velours dividers so you can hear your conversation without stress. The young chef Marco Tonazzo, Venetian to his toes, offers a weekly-changing Italian menu that features dishes from many regions inspired by the season and the market. Only ingredients of the highest quality and authenticity are employed in dishes like Venetian-style cured sausage sec on a puree of celeriac, or risotto with tiny calamaris and cress. This is a no-pizza zone, but the enoteca-style shop means you can buy brilliant ingredients for yourself.
