Le Sens restaurant, bar and club in Paris near the Champs-Elysees is another winner from the stable of the Pourcel brothers, whose empire encompasses brilliant restaurants from London to Shanghai. This particular expression of their vision is a luxurious, minimalist destination with sexy leather seating, fake croc bar, stunning stairs to a starlit mezzanine with movie screen pulsating with videos, and some of the prettiest waitstaff in town. The spirited modern cooking artfully presents dishes like chestnut soup, lox-style tuna with capered aioli, farm-style pork cutlet with blood sausage ravioli. The wine list is as superb as in all other Pourcel establishments. The clientele is chic and smart.
