Trattoria l'Oca Nera restaurant in Paris near the Grands Boulevards is an small Italian restaurant with a big personality. The kitschy decor will have you under its spell in no time, as will the chef/patron's operatic singing in the kitchen, the charming welcome of the patronne, his wife, and the excellent service of their team. The menu features fine antipasti and pastas and, among the desserts, a superb tiramisu. All is candlelit, relaxed and romantic, and well placed on the informality scales. This is not high-end cooking, but then you won't be facing a high-end addition at the end. Don't be surprised if the patronne joins you for a chat and limoncello before you go.
