had a lovely meal at the Bleu Bistro Moderne. The scallops for he main course were extremely good as was the lamb. Would go back again if I return to Dublin

We went to Bleu Bistro Moderne early on Friday evening. Although the Toptable offer states that the three course 29.95 euro menu applies only from Monday to Thursday, the maitre d'hote had no hesitation in offering it to us on Friday as well. In fact the set lunch menu for 23.95 euro was also on offer! We opted for the former since the choice of courses was greater. The food was well prepared and tasty; the desserts in particular were quite impressive. Service was efficient and non-intrusive.

We ate at 6.00pm on a Monday night and had a 2 course special for 18 euros per person. We had a main course and a dessert. We both ate the same things so cannot comment on the variety of the food! Our main course was chicken breast with champ, mushrooms and bacon - very nicely presented and cooked, the sauce was really creamy without being sickly. Creme Brulee for dessert with mandarin ice cream, shortbread and various fruits - a really big portion, but the cutlery was a very large spoon!

I took my partner here for his birthday on a Monday night we had the 2 course special for 18 euros per person which was great value for money. I asked for my steak to be medium rare it was a slightly undercooked however I still enjoyed it and the rest of the food was great. The decor of the restaurant is great and I would recommend it, my boyfriend was also impressed.

Over for the rugby, I picked this out on TT before I left. And what a great choice. A busy, buzzing atmosphere welcomed us, so early in the evening. But with the early bird deal, and the excellent quality of food on offer I was not surprised.
My main course was the steak, small supplement, but it was scrumptious. My partner had the sea bream and was very happy.
Definitely one to go back to again.

Bleu Bistro Moderne is the third Dublin-based venture from restaurateur and award-winning chef Eamonn O’Reilly. This airy bistro-style restaurant, located in Joshua House on Dawson Street, has floor to ceiling windows, chocolate leather banquettes and dark wooden furniture.
