We visited The 5 Flies with a party of 10. We had a good time, and the ambience very good,. We were only offered the no choice menu with 4, 5 or 6 courses. We took the 5 courses , some of the food not too everyones liking, as it had some quite strong flavours. The service was good, but the drinks a little pricey.
The d'Vijff Vlieghen is a lovely restaurant with beautifully presented food, but with exchange rate for pound so low it is expensive and a meal for 2 with wine is towards %u2AC150. The only really oustanding dish was the dessert.
Touristy, but with lots of character and outstanding cooking
d'Vijff Vlieghen - A charming restaurant in a very attractive building. The food was satisfactory, albeit slightly overrated. The biggest disappointment was the table which was located in an annex next to two other tables both occupied by business people, right next to a serving area, not very romantic for a romantic dinner for two! Staff weren't very attentive either. A restaurant best left to the tourist masses and business world!
d'Vijff Vlieghen was really atmospheric. little disappointed not to be sat in the main restauarnt. Food was excellent, and service efficient & friendly
