Bacalhau de Molho located in the historic Casa de Linhares in the Alfama district of Lisbon, is a grand venue boasting decadent décor and a showlist of the city's finest talent and diners come to be entertained by famous singers of Fado. The dining room at Casa de Linhares is set underground in the vaulted tunnels which once formed the defence system of Lisbon, and the seven metre high ceilings, ornate candelabras, Persian rugs and antique furniture give the restaurant an authentic charm. Bacalhau – salt cod – is the national dish of Portugal, and the kitchen at Bacalhau de Molho specialises in traditional cuisine as well as a selection of homemade cakes and puddings.
