We went to Divinus Ronda as a large group of 22 for a 30th bday. There was not much choice for group menus (had to be booked in advance directly with the restaurant), but the food was quite nice.
The service was quite good overall. Because it was for a bday, they let us have a bday cake instead of the standard desert on the menu, which was quite nice. I'd say it was a bit pricey though for Barcelona...

Went there with a party of 6 for a birthday. All the food we ate was very good and fairly priced. The service was excellent and very friendly. They were attentive, polite and smiling and they even let us sit and play backgammon as a family for a few hours after we finished!

Wine list has a good range and is very well priced. 3 courses for 6 people plus 4 bottles of good wine and a few other bits came to ~200 Euro. You could eat there at half that cost and still have a great meal. 9/10.

A chilled out venue in the University district. English version of the menu was a great help although the waiters' English wasn't brilliant. The food was delicious and very good value when compared to restaurants just across the road. We arrived early and ended up staying til late enjoying some of the excellent wine with Parmesan shavings.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Divinus.

I dined in Divinus Ronda on New Year's Eve 08 and had a reasonable time - food was excellent quality, if a bit uninspired ( it was a set menu). Service was fine during my meal but was marred by an overcharge of 20 Euro on my bill.
A new bill was produced but without a word of apology.
Full marks for the party pack and little bag of grapes for the New Year chimes.

After initial good impressions of restaurant ,felt let down by shoddy service,ie waiter did not tell colleague who took over from him that we had ordered starters, this delayed service by 30 minutes.
Food was ok but definetly not up to the standards you would expect from the surroundings we ate in.

Divinus Ronda

Divinus restaurant in Barcelona – let’s put it this way: every trip to this modernist metrop should always include a stroll up La Rambla ending in Placa de Catalunya and a meal in Divinus. Divinus is the best place in town to sample regional home cooking in a stylish, witty setting. The dining room blazes with orange leather seating, lively conversation with cool tiled floor underfoot and exposed ducting overhead. Walls are adorned with arty depictions of kitchen shelves with photos of the relatives interspersed. It’s like a supercharged student refectory in a terrific location just off La Rambla. The dishes include a huge variety of things, from pastas and pizzas and salads to authentic bits like scrambled eggs with Iberian ham, croquetas, lentils pardinas with verduritas and albondigas cooked with cuttlefish, and all of the highest quality. Divinus sprawls over a largish space, so putting tables together for groups is no problem. It’s a young and working crowd during the week – this is a favoured first stop for clubbing evenings – while families tend to predominate at weekends.
