Visited Sargardi on TT recommendations. Lovely food, good service, great atmospher and presentation.

The Sagardi BCNGOTIC has a very lively and busy bar which you go through to reach restarant. Two of diners opted for set menu of several courses.I had squid in ink which was excellent. There is a BBQ grill in main area and we had apple cider from a keg to start.

This place has a friendly buzzy vibe to it, even on a Sunday evening. Our starters of chorizo, black pudding, marinaded red peppers and chicken croquettes were the best tapas I've sampled. The wine list gave a broad selection of good quality regional spanish wines at reasonable prices. Our main courses were rather disappointing - probably because the Basque style of cooking didn't suit us, rather than poor quality.
I'd recommend this place if you know what to order, or try their bar next door -

Sagardi was a good introduction to Basque regional cuisine. Fish was delicious. Good service and excellent wine recommendation. Would visit again.

Sagardi is a great buzzing restaurant with high quality food. The Ham Croquetas were some of the best I have tasted. The service was impecable. I would highly recommend this restaurant for groups of people as it is quite a vibrant place.
