Located in a historical building in the bustling Plaza Real, Café restaurant Taxidermista offers seasonal cooking. The building was previously a natural science museum and taxidermy workshop although it also served as an air raid shelter during the Civil War. The remains of the convent from before the Plaza was built are still preserved in the basement. The atmosphere is cosmopolitan and the clientele includes artists, designers and architects. Taxidermista has preserved many of the original features and organises plenty of cultural activities that mean it is much more than just a restaurant. In addition to the interesting menu, it offers a variety of excellent tapas made from excellent ingredients.
