The crème de la crème of Spanish society are familiar with the dining room at Corral de la Moreria, which has become a national institution famous for its expert flamenco dancers and exceptional Iberian cuisine. Everyone from the king and queen of Spain to Rita Hayworth, Pablo Picasso, Ché Guevara and Natalie Portman have dined at Corral de la Moreria, and the restaurant has been attracting celebrities since it first opened its doors in 1956. The kitchen here offers both a tapas and a la carte menu, and signature dishes include the Andalusian Gazpacho with tomato jelly, shrimp and scallops; the Spanish omelette with piquillo pepper compote; and the fried custard with aniseed coulis and dark chocolate for dessert.
