The 122 Steak & Grill Room proved a surprise package.The set menu was fantastic value and of great quality.Service was prompt and done with a smile.Would not hesitate on a return visit.

Have been to the Copthorne before for a function with my husband, but this time I booked myself and a close friend into the 122 Steak & Grill Room through TopTable to take advantage of their special offer of a 2 course meal with a glass of wine for £14.95. Although the venue was relatively quiet for a Thursday evening and staff were primed to encourage us to go ff menu (the set one that is!) we both thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend it.

122 Grill and Steak Room was good, but not excellent. For a steak restaurant the steak was average - and there was not even a fillet on the menu. Side dishes were poor - soggy hot chips and two onion rings and the salad had wilted lettuce in it. Service was excellent. For a restaurant that promotes is specialises in steak, it has a bit of work to do. Also the prices are quite high if you don't use the toptable promotion.

As previously the meal was excellent. Cullen Skink is the best we have tasted and the steak was cooked to perfection. Sticky Toffee pudding was delicious too. Service was of a high standard too. Will definately return

122 steak and Grill Room was empty when we arrived and no other diners arrived whilewe were there. The service was quick and friendly. We had the special offer menu which had very little choice (2 starters and 2 mains). The starters were very good but the main course of steak only average. The regular menu looked very good and I may return to try it.

The 122 Steak and Grill room Top table menu wasnt particularly inspiring, as there was only 2 choices, and it was the same menu from that we dined from last time we were there over a year ago. It would have been nice to have more choice, and a menu that changes occasionally. The steaks themselves were ok. the service was very good, all our waiting staff were friendly and attentive, couldnt fault the service. The restaurant itself was very quiet. Good value for money but hoped for a bit more.

It was a valentines special, food was ok we were fortunate to sit in the main room of the restaurant but some poeple were put in the doorway between there and reception which i felt sorry for. Service was way to fast in between courses barely giving you time to breathe.

we found the food to be of good quality and value and the service okay but the forty five minute wait let the restarant down 122 nice but wont hurry back
