Itihaas offers a high end ' Indian ' dining experience. Food was excellent, I had marinated Quail, lovely, the breads and rice were good but the hot carrot cake did not taste of carrot, shame. Service could have been more attentive and the lighting was so dim and orange we had to squint to see eachother or read the menu. Worth a visit though.
I went to Itihaas for lunch and we tried their 'tapas' lunch. My friends asked the manager to choose their 'tapas' as long as they weren't too spicy. He didn't do that so they could barely eat anything. What we could eat was delicious but they should really listen to their customers.
itihaas tapas lunch was fantastic as ever!
We had dinner for 9 at Itihaas and overall the experience did not live up to expectation. The main issue was that the service was poor. It does not live up to the awards or the image it boasts on its site. They were inflexible with requests for birthday celebrations. When informed that we were slightly delayed from London, we were told to postpone by 2 hrs even though the table had been available all evening! Food was average and suits an anglicised palate. Starters were better than mains. An order for coke without ice was taken 5 times but we were still given coke with ice. Overall an average overpriced experience and not great value for money
The food at Itihaas is really, really good. Be warned though - it is pretty spicy. We did a Ladies Lunch on a very quiet Friday afternoon and went for their Tapas menu - 6 choices for £9. It's a fantastic deal especially with the food quality being so good.
