An absolute fantastic place to visit. The food was excellent. We tried the Gamba fish soup which was really really good, followed by a fish dish, exqusitely presented, light and quite different. The service was great as well, we needed to get out very quickly and they ensured that we did well in time.
Having not frequented many seafood restaurants, I was very excited about Gamba.
I was not disappointed at all! The most outstanding attribute Gamba possesses is the impeccable service of the staff. They really do contribute to a fine dining experience.
The food is not to be outdone however, my monk fish main course was absolutely delicious and the Gamba fish soup was an equally delightful treat.
Although the price is not cheap, it does makes an excellent venue for a special occasion.
Gamba served up someo of the finest fish I've had in years. The fish was fresh and fluffy and -I had hake and my girlfriend had sea bream and bogth were exceptional. The starters were both very tasty and filling and the service was exceptional. Best seafood in Glasgow without a doubt!
Second time I have been in a fortnight - the pre-theatre is amazing value.
Food is absolutely excellent - if you are feeling flush and like fish this is the place to go
Excellent service and the house riesling was good qulity; food was just average though - the monkfish was good quality but too much salt was put in for roasting and the rasberry sauce was too much (both are not necessary esp for seafood); My Banana mess was too much of cream and sugar will not enough banana and pine kernels (as per menu). Bit overpriced for that quality of cooking but did have a nice time as the staff is really friendly and nice and relax atmosphere
The smiling attentive friendly staff at Gamba, the excellent food and the vibrant atmosphere made our evening into a memorable dining experience.
Great fish but the sauces can be a wee bit overwhelming
