Stravaigin is old Scots for 'wander', a word that nicely encapsulates the restaurant's ethos. Both the menu and décor evolve; there's a wonderful creativity about this West End favourite. Locally-sourced ingredients are used to create imaginative international dishes such as Indonesian pork balls w... Read more

Excellent service - really good food - only gripe is we were promised the dessert menu and nothing arrived....
Good spot for a brunch as it hit all the right notes - poached eggs were had runny yokes, bloody mary was spicy, not too many screaming kids.
Stravaigin have now pushed their menu to the next level since I was there last, the food is fabulous, the staff are professional and attentive, and the whole evening was a success.
Visited Stravaigin in Glasgow on a very busy Friday night. We called to explain that we were unavoidably delayed but they were very good about it, even though they were so busy. Quite a small venue so tables close together but great ambience. Food beautifully presented (very 'nouvelle cuisine') and good wine list.
Stravaigin is an excellent upmarket choice in Glasgow, within comfortable walking distance of the SECC and Kelvin Grove Hall museum. Service was superb, the food was gorgeous, and both the wine list and whisky list well considered. If you want the award winning haggis though, be warned its not on the restaurant menu, it seems only available in the bar upstairs. Its also a vibrant, perhaps noisy environment, dont let that dissuade you unless you are looking for something extra specially quiet.
