140 Park Lane is situated in a great location, the staff were very attentive and we got a seperate area to dine in which really added to the ambience. One major drawback with the menu is that there is only one vegetarian mains option and 4 of the dinners were vergetarian and one was vegan which meant that there was hardly anything for the vegetarian and vegan to eat except soup. However the dining experience was still an excellent one especially for the non-veggies!
140 Park Lane (Marriott) is a haven of tranquility near bustling Oxford St. Elegant and sophisticated - great for ladies that lunch & dine! Crisp white table cloths, crystal clear blown glasses and quite nice food too!
Lunchtime menu at 140 Park Lane was not as extensive as expected
seated at the excutive table of the restaurant. Service was really good. The head chef came out and spoke to us and the waiters and the manager constantly asking whether we are ok. The food was nice, however we werent too happy about the 30pounds service charge.
140 Park Lane at London Marriot is a decent, but not special place for a dinner. The food was just about OK, starters of duck consomme and fishcakes slightly below standard expected, mains of rib-eye steak (nicely done, but meat was average) and duck with mash (meat very good, but portion small). The waiters were great, allowed us to order a customised side dish to go with our meals. Deserts also left us ambivalent. Was expecing more, very unlikely to come back even with another TopTable offer.
140 Park Lane Restaurant and Bar is worth a visit for the 50% off deal, the private dining area is worth requesting for a large group but don't expect fast service.
Had a very pleasent Friday dinner at 140 Park Lane. The 50% off toptable deal made it quite a bargain at £35 a head for 3 courses and wine. Can't fault the food we had. Crab & Prawn cake starter, Pan roasted Duck and Vension mains were particularly good. Only 2 negatives, no green veg option in the side orders which would have complemented our mains well and the waitress that greeted us was rahter surley. Our main waiter was fabulously attentive though hence the rating for service overall.
140 Park Lane Restaurant - Terrible service, food appauling. We sat at our table, waited 3-40 minutes for drinks order to be taken, then another 1hr wait for food order. Waiter apologised as 'the kitchen was having slight problems'. Overall disappointing meal for a Friday night out.
