Excellent food. I dined with 9 of my friends and everyone was delighted with their meals. The portions were very generous, the flavours delicate and individual to each dish. The 2-4-1 offer made it incredibly good value, so I cannot recommend it highly enough. I would offer a strong word of warning however - Shimla Pinks do NOT want to give you this offer. The waiter tried absolutely everything to get out of it. Take 2 copies of your booking with you and keep hold of one f them!!

Went to Shimla Pinks last night and were surprised to see they had a buffet deal on, which at £11 was great value.

However, I would no recommend the buffet. Its a shame as the food here is very very good, its definitely the most authentics tasting indian I've had in manchester, but the buffet ruins it. it is filled with overly oily, filler food like rice and potatoes and not enough real food.

Final word: probably the best Indian food I've had in manchester, but stick to a la carte.

The food was excellent as usual, and the 2-4-1 offer made it incredibly good value. The offer was even accepted without a fight this time(!), although I did take two copies of the booking with me... The only negative comment would be that the service was incredibly slow and we had to wait for over an hour and a half to eat - not ideal.

The service was less than average for a restaurant of its reputation. The waitress was not aware of the ingredients in the dishes nor did she offer drinks once we were seated. However the food came in a timely manner and was of a good quality.
